Gruppe M is a Japanese company established in 1996. Since then they have established themselves as the market leader in high end ram-air intake systems. Their commitment to quality is a byproduct of their experience in endurance racing, in fact Team Gruppe M won the FIA GT championship in 2004 2005 and 2006.

Thanks to their racing experience Gruppe M has been expanding their product line; besides their famous ram-air intakes today Gruppe M offers a line of carbon fiber body parts and a line of titanium exhaust systems.

Product Line

Gruppe M established its name in the industry by manufacturing high quality carbon fiber ram air intakes. When they started back in 1996 the use of carbon fiber was still confined to high end racing cars, Gruppe M was one of the first companies to to craft carbon fiber accessories for street tuned cars.

Their line of ram-air intakes is based on the idea of ramming fresh air at high speed into the engine by funneling the airflow from openings in the front bumper directly into the airbox. This system ensures that at high speeds the engine is able to "breathe" more air (thus increasing its volumetric efficiency).

Taking advantage of the accumulated expertise of working with carbon fiber and their knowledge of fluidodynamics, Gruppe M has launched a line of carbon fiber aero body parts aimed at improving the aerodynamic characteristics of a vehicle. These include front and rear spoilers, undertrays, bonnets, side skirts etc. Gruppe M has spent considerable time designing and testing each component though CFD simulation to ensure their aerodynamic properties; this ensures the best performance increase from each single component.

Recently Gruppe M has launched a new line of high-performance, light-weight titanium exhaust systems. These beautifully hand-crafted systems are dramatically lighter than a stock exhaust; for example the E46 M3 exhaust pictured on the left is  only 5kg compares to the stock 27kg!
